Autumn had arrived!!! The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp, and unfortunately the days are getting shorter. Nonetheless I am getting excited about it because fall is my favorite season. #BasicWhiteChick. It’s really just for the clothes and pretty picture opportunities. I love boots, sweaters, and scarves. More layers, the better! And obviously the changing leaves make a great addition to any photo. So enough about my white girl tendencies. The real reason for the post is to share my latest crafts.
Since this is our first year owning the house, I have nothing for decorations! For fall or Christmas. My solution, make most of it! Then wait till everything is on clearance! So my first project was to make an autumn wreath for the front door. I went to Michaels when all of thier fall crafts were 40%-50% off, which was perfect timing on my part. The trip was random. But I bought a grapevine wreath, an assortment of small flowers, variety pack of mini pumpkins, and some ribbon that was on clearance. I spent about $12 which is great since the pre-made wreaths that were 50% off were still over $30!
I got my wire cutters and hot glue gun out and got to it! I ended up with this beaut and I am pretty proud of myself for it. I have a bunch of pumpkins and a couple flowers left over so I may try and come up with something else to put together. Throw some ideas at me.
