Autumn had arrived!!! The leaves are changing, the air is getting crisp, and unfortunately the days are getting shorter. Nonetheless I am getting excited about it because fall is my favorite season. #BasicWhiteChick. It’s really just for the clothes and pretty picture opportunities. I love boots, sweaters, and scarves. More layers, the better! And obviously the changing leaves make a great addition to any photo. So enough about my white girl tendencies. The real reason for the post is to share my latest crafts.
Hello everyone! I have come to update you on my yard sale steals projects I mentioned in my last post. The first project we wanted to tackle was the kitchen island/microwave cart. Since the kitchen is the space that needs the most help, we started there. We have a decent sized kitchen but its mostly empty space. There aren’t a lot of cabinets or counter space and the sink is old and tiny. So kitchen cart it was!
I know I’ve been M.I.A. for a little while but I had a death in the family recently and I have been dealing with that. I just haven’t been in the mood to chit chat or write much. BUT I am trying to get out of my funk, so here I am to update you on the things I have been up to.
Switching to something a little more light hearted… Yard Sales! Since the weather started warming up, my mom and I have been getting up early on Saturday’s and heading out to sift through peoples old stuff. I thought this was a great idea since we just bought a house and basically need everything!!! This definitely take away from my ability to sleep in, but I figure it’s worth it if I can find cheap pieces in good shape for the house. Turns out I was right! We’ve gone out 5 times this summer and I have practically stolen 5 pieces of furniture for our house. Everything was under 10 bucks! With a little work and some paint they’re gonna look fantastic! How can you beat that?
The last couple of months have been absolutely hectic, I have lost count of how many days its been since we bought our house. We are almost done with our first renovations and I am beyond excited about it. Once we get the main living areas painted we can officially MOVE IN!
Hello friends! For the last week or two I have been painstakingly searching the internet for paint colors to use in the new house. Like I mentioned in my last post, I’ve been mainly using Pinterest. This is turning out to be one hell of a task, since there are sooooo many colors I like!!!! I think my biggest problem is going to be not getting a head of myself and just picking all the colors I think are cute and ending up with a home that looks like a clown was hired as my interior decorator.
